Barbara is a Human Resources/Organisation Development consultant specialising in change management. She has extensive experience of the Health Service, the Voluntary sector, Retail and Retail Banking sectors in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. She has worked closely with senior HR personnel and CEOs, assisting them to develop a HR strategy to best support their business plans.

Barbara has also worked extensively on developing staff involvement and engagement programmes, helping companies to work effectively through periods of change and become an employer of choice . Change management experience includes working on the merger of two banks. As a senior member of that team she led the OD effort to integrate the two companies into a single business unit. She has also managed the “people” aspects of a number of operational efficiency projects, some of which led to downsizing.

Barbara has been responsible for recruitment in a number of multi site organisations and has designed and managed numerous assessment centres for both selection and development purposes. She has led and participated in recruitment drives at a senior level and has managed numerous high volume projects.

With a Masters in Business Administration and a MSc and BSc in Occupational Psychology, Barbara has ensured her knowledge of theory and best practice is up to date and relevant. She is a member of CIPD with an award for “Excellence in HR” from that organisation. She is also qualified in psychometric testing and licensed to administer the EQi and Myers Briggs tools.
